For 2024, Vienna recorded 6,619 total meetings—a 3% year-on-year increase—comprising 2,193 congresses (781 international, up 7%; 1,412 domestic) and 4,426 corporate events (2,155 international, up 10%; 2,271 domestic). Total participants reached 671,000 (6% increase), generating 1,999,000 overnight stays—a 26% year-on-year increase—with congress visitors averaging 2.98 bed nights per stay. Vienna ranked 1st worldwide in the ICCA 2024 Worldwide City Rankings, a benchmark cited in the VCB's own statistical release. The Vienna Tourist Board's commissioned economic model estimates a total induced economic impact of approximately EUR 1.32 billion (all-time high), EUR 365 million in tax revenues, and 23,500 full-year equivalent jobs supported; these figures are model-based estimates and are not included in key statistics. Data covers all certified congresses and corporate meetings within the city of Vienna for the full year 2024; trade exhibition statistics for Vienna and Austria are published separately and are not included in this report.
