Annual industry report2025

The China Exhibition Economy Development Report 2025 is the annual industry report of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), compiled by its Exhibition Management Department together with the CCPIT Research Institute. It was released on 23 January 2026 at the 2026 China Convention and Exhibition Economy International Cooperation Forum in Wuhan, continuing a series CCPIT has published every year since 2005. For the domestic market it counts trade and economic exhibitions of 2,000 square metres or more staged in purpose-built exhibition venues. Its seven chapters cover the 2025 operating environment, the domestic exhibition market, outbound exhibitions, the exhibition venue market, flagship trade fairs, Wuhan as the focus city, and the outlook for 2026. Headline data: China staged 4,095 trade and economic exhibitions in 2025 across 159.07 million square metres, up 6.53% and 2.5% year on year and both record highs; 28 Chinese shows entered the global top 100 trade fair ranking, second only to Germany; and 1,259 outbound exhibition projects were carried out across 57 countries and regions.
