The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) of Macao SAR Government publishes quarterly and annual MICE statistics as part of its official tourism reporting. For full year 2024, Macao recorded 1,524 MICE events—a 31.4% year-on-year increase—across three categories: 61 exhibitions (with 1,133,000 attendees, 7,093 exhibitors, and 52,651 professional visitors), 1,423 meetings and conferences (185,000 participants), and 40 incentive travel events (13,000 participants). Total MICE participants and attendees reached 1,332,000, though this represented a 17.1% decrease year-on-year, driven by a 20.5% decline in exhibition attendees. Exhibition exhibitors fell 1.5% while professional visitor numbers declined 12.1%. By subject matter, Commerce & Management (640 events, 42%) and Information Technology (164 events, 11%) were the leading categories. MICE-driven non-gaming receipts were reported at approximately MOP 5.48 billion (approximate figure; excluded from key statistics).
