About this expo
Africa Rail (incorporating Signalling and Train Control World) is the largest and most established rail event in Africa, organised by Terrapinn Holdings Limited. The event is built on more than 27 years of history and brings together railway operators, government officials, investors, freight rail companies, transport startups, and solution providers from across the African rail industry.
The 2028 edition is scheduled for June 27-28, 2028, at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. The 2026 edition (July 7-8, 2026) was held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg and featured more than 150 industry speakers and approximately 100 exhibitor organisations, spanning Strategic Partner, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and standard Exhibitor sponsorship tiers.
