EDEX

EDEX (Egypt Defence Expo) is a biennial tri-service defence exhibition organized by the Egyptian Armament Authority and held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The event takes place at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre (EIEC) in Cairo, Egypt, and covers over 45,000 square metres across the venue's halls and outdoor areas. It is the only defence and security exhibition covering both Africa and the Middle East, with the 2027 edition scheduled for December 6-9, 2027.

The exhibition brings together 450+ exhibitors and 40,000+ visitors from 86+ countries. More than 100 official delegations receive a hosted VIP programme, targeting military procurement officials, defence industry professionals, and government and armed forces representatives. Major international defence contractors including Dassault, Boeing, Thales, Naval Group, and Fincantieri support the event.

Core exhibit sectors include land defence systems and armoured vehicles, naval and maritime defence equipment, aerospace and air defence systems, defence electronics and communications, and security systems and surveillance technology.
