Photonics - World of Lasers and Optics

Photonics - World of Lasers and Optics is an annual International Exhibition dedicated to Laser, Optical, and Optoelectronic Technologies. Recognized as Russia's only trade show focused on photonics, lasers, and optics technology, it serves as the primary networking hub for the laser and optical industry within Russia. The event is also noted as the most visited industry gathering in the country. The upcoming edition will be held from March 30 to April 1, 2027, at the VC "Timiryazev Center" in Moscow, Russia.

The exhibition showcases a wide array of products and services, including laser radiation sources, optical materials, fibre optic equipment, photoelectronics, laser equipment for materials processing, biomedical equipment, solar energy equipment, and light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The 2024 event featured 236 exhibitors from 5 countries and attracted 11,060 visitors from 24 countries and 72 Russian regions. The 2026 edition hosted 163 exhibitors and 6,971 professional visitors. The target audience includes engineers, CEOs, specialists, and researchers from sectors such as medicine, telecommunications, defence, robotics, agriculture, and aerospace, with key consumers like Huawei Technologies and Rosatom State Energy Corporation attending.

Exhibitors gain direct access to government agencies for potential state orders and contracts with major companies. The event offers a MatchMaking system to facilitate connections. Surveys indicate that 51% of visitors to Photonics 2024 and 2025 planned to make purchases post-event, with 79% of visitors being purchasing decision-makers or influencers. Participation allows companies to strengthen their sales network in Russia, enhance market position, and establish new collaborations. Concurrent programs include the Congress of the Russian Photonics Technology Platform, with its 14th Congress held in 2026.
