108th Lions International Convention in Hong Kong Was the Largest Since the Pandemic

The Hong Kong Tourism Board said the city welcomed more than 17,000 delegates from over 140 countries and regions this July for the 108th Lions International Convention, calling it Lions Clubs International's largest convention since the pandemic and Hong Kong's third time hosting the global gathering. The event set a new world record for the most continents represented in a tai chi practice. Attendance from the Chinese Mainland reached a record level, with more than 3,000 members from 14 regions, many of them arriving via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Hong Kong-born world harmonica champion Gordon Lee performed at the Host Committee Dinner, and delegates were offered exclusive tourism itineraries and curated experiences. The board said the Lions family will return in 2027, when Hong Kong hosts the Orient and Southeast Asian Lions (OSEAL) Forum.
