38th International Conference on Microelectronics (ICM) 2026 Heads to Sarawak

Business Events Sarawak announced that the 38th International Conference on Microelectronics (ICM) 2026 is coming to Sarawak, bringing the global conference back to Malaysia after more than 30 years. With AI transforming electronics, the agency says ICM 2026 will spotlight how emerging technologies can tackle real-world challenges, including smarter haze monitoring. It adds that the bigger opportunity is talent: Sarawak produced only around 345 electronics graduates in the past three years, highlighting the need to attract more students into the field and, just as importantly, to create the jobs that will keep them there. With Sarawak's Free Tertiary Education Scheme covering 64 courses including electrical and electronic engineering, and growing international interest from IEEE members worldwide, Business Events Sarawak says ICM 2026 could help spark the talent, connections and opportunities needed to power Sarawak's high-tech future.
