3rd Morocco International Mining Congress Registration Closes in September
Organisers say 10 exhibition stands remain and delegate registration closes on Friday 18 September for the 3rd Morocco International Mining Congress, held at the Sofitel Rabat Jardin des Roses in Rabat from 6 to 8 October 2026. The three days are devoted to how Africa can build its own processing capacity for critical and strategic minerals instead of exporting them raw. The congress is organised by Fédération De l'Industrie Minérale (FDIM) and AME Trade, under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, supported by the Agence Marocaine de Développement des Investissements et des Exportations (AMDIE) and in partnership with CGEM. According to the organisers, Morocco now ranks 1st in Africa and 15th worldwide for mining attractiveness (Fraser Institute), and the 2025 edition drew close to 1,000 participants from more than 40 countries. New this year is a Mining Business Hub for B2B meetings across both conference days; the third day is given over to site visits — OCP Khouribga and Jorf Lasfar, CMT Tighza and UM6P.
