Taipei International Book Fair Draws 580,000 Visitors; Minister Li Yuan Pledges Continued Cultural Diplomacy

The 2026 Taipei International Book Fair concluded with 580,000 visitors over 6 days. The fair featured 509 publishers from 29 countries, 1,467 authors, 1,301 reading events, and 1,853 copyright meetings. Culture Minister Li Yuan pledged ongoing cultural diplomacy through the fair. The Czech Republic will serve as the 2027 theme country, with Czech literature icons such as Kundera, Kafka, and Hrabal expected to feature.
