Tainan Agricultural Products Debut at UK Food Show, Attracting Major Department Stores and E-Commerce to Create NT$150 Million Business Opportunities

Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che led agricultural and fishery producers to participate in the UK International Food & Drink Expo (IFE) in London under the "Taiwan Tainan Pavilion" banner. The first-ever participation generated over 900 trade negotiations and an estimated NT$150 million in business opportunities. Highlights included interest from premium department store Harrods and the largest food e-commerce platform Ocado. Fresh pineapples and ruby guavas were crowd favorites. The Agriculture Bureau confirmed expanded participation next year.
