ABF and B.I.G. 2026 close with 83,000 visitors, up 2.5 percent
The ABF and B.I.G. consumer fairs closed after five days on Sunday 15 February at the Hannover exhibition grounds, drawing a combined total of more than 83,000 visitors, around 2.5% more than the previous year. Most of the roughly 560 exhibiting companies reported a good atmosphere, high quality of visitor time on site and strong willingness to conclude deals and invest. The caravanning and camping section was the largest area at over 35,000 sqm and drew particular interest, with motorhomes, caravans, panel vans and custom vehicles ordered directly on site and many exhibitors reporting concrete purchase intentions. The parallel construction and gardening fair B.I.G. focused strongly on energy efficiency, with Viessmann reporting very high demand around subsidies and heat pumps, and hosted a Housing & Energy Forum with the Climate Protection Agency of the Hannover Region and other bodies. Klaudia Kohl, Head of Consumer Shows at Deutsche Messe, said preparations for the 2027 editions begin with confidence.
