Alimentaria FoodTech Offers the Industry Innovation and Business
Alimentaria FoodTech, the leading show for innovation, technology and ingredients for the food industry, will once again be at the center of the foodtech ecosystem from October 6 to 8, 2026 at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue. The event will gather close to 400 exhibiting companies and brands, plus some thirty startups specialized in disruptive solutions, and will feature Morocco as guest country, in collaboration with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Casablanca. Leading firms present include MIMASA, Handtmann, Weber, Hiperbaric, ULMA, Tetra Pak and Bizerba, presenting their latest technological solutions and equipment. The show will spotlight advances in machinery, automation, digitalization and collaborative robotics, and the ingredients area will bring together some forty companies. Around 20% of exhibitors are expected to come from some 15 countries, with Germany, Italy, Portugal and Turkey among the most represented. Through the Hosted Buyers program, with the collaboration of ICEX, FIAB and amec alimentec, the show will gather one hundred strategic buyers from more than 25 countries and expects to generate around 900 business meetings. The choice of Morocco — the second non-European country with the most visitors at the last edition — reflects its strategic relevance: Spain is Morocco's leading trading partner, with bilateral trade exceeding 22.5 billion euros annually. As a novelty, the show adds the FoodTech Award for Scientific Merit 2026 to its established FoodTech Innova and Emprende Awards.
