Alimentaria FoodTech, a Key Meeting Point for the Entire Food Industry

Alimentaria FoodTech, to be held October 6-8, 2026 at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue, will gather the latest innovations in machinery, technology and ingredients for the agri-food industry. Five months ahead of the event, 85% of its 32,000 m² of exhibition space is already booked, with some 400 exhibiting companies expected, 20% of them from 15 countries — mainly Germany, Italy, Portugal and Turkey. Leading firms such as MIMASA, Handtmann, Weber, Hiperbaric, ULMA, Frontmatec, Tetra Pak, CSB System and Bizerba have confirmed. Exhibitors serve nine industrial sectors, from processing and ingredients to packaging, digitalization, food safety, refrigeration, logistics and Smart Agro; the ingredients area, with more than 35 leading brands, will be one of the fastest-growing spaces, and solutions for two booming segments — ready meals and pet food — are a novelty this edition. The Hosted Buyers program will bring around one hundred high-level buyers from more than 25 countries and some 800 pre-scheduled business meetings. The FoodTech Innovarena hub will host the Speakers' Corner, the Ingrenova zone and the fourth edition of the Innova and Emprende awards. The show is backed by associations including ANAFRIC, FENIL, FIAB, ICEX and amec, reinforcing its role as Europe's benchmark cross-cutting food-technology platform.
