Alimentaria+Hostelco 2026 Marks 50th Anniversary with Record International Edition

Alimentaria+Hostelco 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Alimentaria with its largest and most international edition to date. Running March 23-26 at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona, the fair brings together more than 3,300 companies from 70 countries across 100,000 square meters in seven pavilions. International participation has grown 30 percent compared to the previous edition, with more than 1,200 foreign companies now accounting for 36 percent of exhibitors. Poland serves as Country of Honor. Organizers have invited 1,500 major buyers and importers from 100 countries plus 1,200 domestic buyers, projecting more than 14,500 business meetings. Long-standing partners include Coca-Cola, Danone, Damm, and Ybarra. Intercarn remains the largest section with 350 companies in 15,000 square meters. The Alimentaria Hub will convene more than 200 experts on sustainability, digitalization, and food safety. Innoval showcases over 300 innovations and more than 60 companies participate in Food and Hospitality Startups. The Horeca channel expands 40 percent to 20,000 square meters with over 600 companies. New features include Imagine Foodservice Europe, The Shift strategic knowledge space, The Bakery and Pastry Hub, and the First International Cooking Championship of Alimentaria.
