Alimentaria+Hostelco 2026 marks 50th anniversary with historic record-breaking edition

Alimentaria+Hostelco 2026, Spain leading food, gastronomy and foodservice trade platform, returns to Barcelona Fira Gran Via from March 23-26 in what organizers are calling a historic edition. Celebrating 50 years since Alimentaria was founded in 1976 as the first dedicated food industry trade show in Spain, the 2026 edition will span 100,000 square metres across seven pavilions. Some 3,300 companies from 70 countries will participate, with international exhibitors accounting for more than 30% of the total, a 41% increase over the previous edition. Poland is the Country of Honor. Working with ICEX, organizers have invited 1,500 international buyers and importers from 100 countries alongside 1,200 domestic buyers, with more than 14,500 business meetings projected. The HORECA and foodservice zone covers over 20,000 square metres with 600 companies and around 200 professional activities.
