This is 'Much More than Carpentry', the podcast turning FIMMA + Maderalia into a live workshop
FIMMA + Maderalia 2026 will feature one of the biennial's most innovative and participatory proposals: 'Mucho más que carpintería' ('Much More than Carpentry'), the popular podcast led by digital creator Fermín Lorda, will bring to Feria Valencia a real working space combining conversation and live content creation to show today's carpentry from the inside. More than a conventional stand, the initiative will be a living workshop where professionals, companies and visitors share experiences and see how the trade is evolving; the creative concept was developed with Doublecheck Projects, an agency specialising in trades-focused content creators. During the fair's first days, elements of the stand itself — tables, benches, panels — will be built in front of visitors using machinery, tools, fixing systems and materials supplied by partner brands, demonstrating product performance in real working conditions. The highlight will be the live recording of the special episode 'How to make a living from carpentry today… and tomorrow', in an open format without barriers between participants and the audience, alongside a networking area under the motto 'Here, talking is also working'. The initiative is backed by SCM, Festool, Cantisa, Industrias Lotu, Garnica, Issaline, Method Advanced Logistics and Puertas Castalla, with the collaboration of Look Wood and coverage by trade outlet Madera Sostenible. Content generated at the show will later feed the podcast's digital ecosystem through episodes, clips and reports.
