Asime Champions Galician Offshore Wind Leadership at the WindEurope Fair in Madrid

The Galician Offshore Energy Group (GOE-Asime) is taking part this week in the WindEurope Annual Event 2026 in Madrid, representing its more than 50 offshore-wind companies, technology centers and port authorities, and the more than 270 associated companies from the shipbuilding and maritime sector. Acebrón Group, Altius, the Ferrol-San Cibrao Port Authority, Citic Censa, Equipos Lagos and Ganain are exhibiting on a joint stand, while some twenty more GOE members traveled with the association to explore business. Asime showcased Galicia's production capacity in foundations and support-vessel construction and championed the region as a preferred territory for Spain's offshore wind farms, urging the government to speed up the first public auction. According to the association, 3 of the 5 floating wind farms installed in Europe use Galician technology; the sector employs 3,000 people directly and 2,000 indirectly in Galicia and could generate 5,000 new direct jobs over the next ten years, with a pull effect on 200 companies. The cluster also promoted the 8th GOinterHUB Congress, on June 10-11 in Ferrol with more than 400 professionals expected, and the Bahia H2 Offshore project, backed by Spain's PERTE scheme, to produce renewable hydrogen and ammonia directly at sea.
