Barcelona Wine Week 2026 Closes 6th Edition with 25,953 Visitors and 25% More International Buyers
Barcelona Wine Week (BWW) closed its 6th edition on February 4, 2026 at Fira de Barcelona with strong results. The fair recorded 25,953 visitors, with 20% international attendees from 73 countries. A total of 1,350 wineries participated representing 90 Denominaciones de Origen and quality certifications. International professional buyers grew 25% year-on-year, reaching 962 professionals invited by the organization in collaboration with MAPA and ICEX Spain, from markets including the USA, Mercosur (notably Brazil), Germany, China, the Netherlands, India and Indonesia. Around 1,000 national buyers from retail, specialist distribution and horeca channels also participated. The fair generated approximately 13,700 business meetings. The program featured 138 speakers including critics, winemakers and Masters of Wine, with notable participation from Jancis Robinson of the Financial Times. The economic impact on Barcelona is estimated at 17 million euros. BWW consolidates its position as a strategic platform for promoting quality Spanish wine globally.
