BIEMH 2026 Closes 33rd Edition with 39,000-Plus Professionals from 65 Countries

BIEMH 2026, the 33rd International Machine-Tool Biennial, closed at Bilbao Exhibition Centre with more than 39,000 professionals from approximately 65 countries, establishing itself as the leading international showcase for advanced manufacturing of the year. A total of 1,543 exhibiting companies from 34 countries presented more than 3,350 products across six pavilions. Key visitor origins included Portugal, Germany, France, Italy, India, Mexico, China, Turkey, the USA, and Colombia. India was the featured country with 20 participating companies. The Hosted Buyers Programme attracted approximately 300 international buyers from 26 countries. Main visitor sectors were automotive (26%), capital goods (17%), aeronautics and aerospace (16%), and steel (13%). Focus areas were metal-cutting and forming machines (27%), tools and accessories (25%), and automation, robotics, and digitalisation (24%). WORKinn Talent Hub brought over 4,128 students from 92 training centres and more than 370 job opportunities. Innovation Awards were presented to IBARMIA, ZAYER, SICNOVA, LANTEK, SORALUCE, and INTERMAHER. The next BIEMH will be held 6-10 March 2028.
