BIEMH 2026: 33rd Edition Inaugurated at Bilbao Exhibition Centre

The 33rd edition of BIEMH, the International Machine Tool Biennial, was inaugurated on March 2 at Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC), with Basque President Imanol Pradales presiding over the opening ceremony. The fair brings together 1,503 exhibiting companies from 34 countries and more than 3,350 innovative products, running through Friday March 6 under the theme CARPE BIEMH. In his address, Pradales highlighted the Basque Government commitment to transforming the regional industrial and technological fabric to generate economic activity and quality employment. The opening ceremony was attended by senior regional and national officials including Industry Minister Mikel Jauregi, Mayor of Barakaldo Amaia del Campo, AFM Cluster President José Pérez Berdud, AIMHE President José Ignacio Ortiz de Urbina, and Secretary of State for Industry Jordi García Brustenga. BIEMH 2026 is organised by AFM, AIMHE and BEC, with the Basque Government and Diputación Foral de Bizkaia as institutional partners.
