Bioterra Reaffirms Its Role as a Benchmark for Healthy, Sustainable Living with 9,000 Visitors

The 23rd edition of Bioterra, the Basque Country's eco fair, closed its doors at Ficoba after bringing together 9,000 people over three days and confirming the excellent reception of its evolution toward a model that integrates sustainability, health, wellbeing and environmental awareness. Ninety percent of visitors reported being satisfied or very satisfied with the fair's offering, 45% gave it the highest possible rating, and 95% said they would return for future editions. Loyalty is one of the event's hallmarks: 86% of attendees said they had visited the fair in previous editions, evidence of the solid community built around an event that has promoted more sustainable and healthy ways of living for more than two decades. Commercial activity was also very positive: nearly 10% of visitors made purchases exceeding 250 euros, 27.5% spent between 101 and 250 euros, and 32.5% between 51 and 100 euros, in an edition with close to 121 exhibiting companies. Under the slogan 'We cultivate what endures', the fair began a new phase this year expanding its traditional scope toward wellbeing and quality of life, as highlighted by its director, Maialen Gaztañaga. Among the more than 50 activities, standouts included the tenth Yoga Day, which reached full capacity, the new Amalurra wellbeing space, and the olive oil, cheese and wine tastings, along with the screening of the final episodes of the HOPE documentary.
