Chile Hosts Its Fourth Smart City Expo Focused on a People-Centered Urban Future
Santiago de Chile is hosting the fourth edition of Smart City Expo Santiago de Chile from July 23-25, bringing together more than 2,500 visitors, over 70 companies and institutions and some fifty speakers at the Estación Mapocho Cultural Center. Under the motto 'Reclaiming the city for people: smart Santiago, sustainable future', the event is organized by the Government of Santiago with the Metropolitan Regional Council and Sé Santiago, and produced by Fira de Barcelona in alliance with Interexpo. The congress is structured around five thematic axes and features speakers such as smart-cities expert Sandra Baer, former Quito mayor Mauricio Rodas and Cardinal Fernando Chomalí. The event will host the signing of the Santiago Smart City Declaration with Chile's 16 regional governors and the official constitution of RECI Hispanoamericano with the 52 mayors of the Metropolitan Region.
