Greener, Healthier Cities: Iberflora Hosts the Plant BioProtection Forum in 2026

The Plant BioProtection Forum will be held on October 7 at Feria Valencia as part of the Iberflora program (October 6-8). The technical event, organized by COITAVC together with the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the UPV School of Agronomic Engineering and publisher Phytoma, focuses on plant health in urban green spaces. The program includes blocks on tree pests, fungal and viral diseases, and management of the urban trees of the future, plus a round table with municipal technicians from Seville, Barcelona and Valencia. Organizers note that eight out of ten Spaniards live in cities and that green spaces can lower local temperatures by 2 to 8 degrees, hence the spread of the 3-30-300 rule. Born in 2019 as Spain's first forum specialized in biological control, the event now celebrates its sixth edition.
