Cocentaina Backs Young-Adult Literature in Valencian with a New Edition of the Fira de Tots Sants Narrative Prize

The Cocentaina Town Council has published the rules of the 2026 Fira de Tots Sants Narrative Prize, a biennial call reaffirming its commitment to literary creation in Valencian and to fiction for young readers. The prize is open to original, unpublished novels written in Valencian, on any theme, not awarded in other contests and aimed at readers over 14. Submissions are accepted until May 15, 2026 at 23:59, exclusively online through the town council's electronic office. The winning work will receive 6,000 euros and be published by Andana with the prize's subtitle. The rules require works to be submitted under a pseudonym, with no elements identifying the author, together with a signed declaration guaranteeing that the novel is unpublished, unawarded and an original human creation made without any use of artificial intelligence. The jury will comprise representatives of the town council, Andana and specialists in young-adult literature, preserving participants' anonymity throughout. Fair councillor Marcela Richart highlighted the quality of the first edition and the council's commitment to culture linked to the Fira de Tots Sants, one of the town's most emblematic events.
