Construmat and ASEFAVE Boost the Presence of the Enclosure Sector at the Fira Show

Construmat, Fira de Barcelona's international construction show, and the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Lightweight Facades and Windows (ASEFAVE) have signed an agreement to strengthen the presence of the building envelope, facades and enclosures sector at the show, whose next edition will take place in May 2027. The agreement, signed by Construmat president Xavier Vilajoana and ASEFAVE president Miguel Robles, includes the active promotion of the show among the 165 companies affiliated with the association. Vilajoana noted that the agreement reinforces Construmat's positioning as the reference meeting point for all agents driving innovation, sustainability and industrialization in building, highlighting the strategic role of facade and window systems in the future of construction. Robles stressed that the sector is enjoying 'a sweet moment of growth', reinforced by European guidelines on renovation. With a turnover of 4.1 billion euros, the envelope subsector is one of the most dynamic in construction, driven by renovation policies and the State Housing Plan 2026-2030, which will finance between 40% and 80% of renovation projects in this field. In its 2027 edition, Construmat will expand its exhibition offering by 23% and occupy two halls at the Gran Via venue, with more than 400 exhibitors expected, giving prominent roles to industrialized construction and interior design as well.
