Ecofira Expands Its Challenges and Priorities Toward Textile and Bulky Waste Management
Ecofira, the International Fair for Environmental Solutions and Ecological Transition, will strengthen its commitment to new strategic areas linked to waste management in its next edition, to be held from November 10 to 12 at Feria Valencia, with special attention to textile and bulky waste. This was agreed by the fair's Organizing Committee, chaired by Jorge Tejedo, at its latest meeting. The aim is to broaden horizons and strengthen not only the commercial offering but also to incorporate new analysis and reflection content into the Ecoforum conference program on the challenges industrial companies face in sustainability and waste management. As a first line of work, Ecofira will focus part of its content on textile waste management, for which a specific commission has been set up to design the topics for the Ecoforum conference program and thematic sessions. This commission will include sector representatives and sustainability specialists, among them José Monzonís, general director of the Textile and Fashion Observatory; Salomé Beneyto, manager of ATEVAL and representative of the Spanish Intertextile Council; Pilar Prior, director in Sustainability and ESG Leadership; Elisa A. del Río, director of the Technical Area of the CEV; and Pedro Andrés, president of ASIRTEX. With this new orientation, Ecofira continues to consolidate itself as the meeting point for companies, administrations and professionals linked to environmental management and ecological transition.
