Used electric cars accelerate with nearly 30% growth in the Valencian Community
Sales of used electrified cars and SUVs grew 27.7% in the first quarter in the Valencian Community, reaching 2,414 units, according to figures from dealer association GANVAM released ahead of the 18th Feria del Vehículo Selección Ocasión, which runs from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 April at Feria Valencia. Pure electric vehicles are driving the growth, up 46.4% with 1,072 units sold, while plug-in hybrids account for a larger volume — 1,342 units — but grew a more moderate 16%. The trend mirrors the national market: in Spain, second-hand pure electric car sales rose 48.8% (8,886 units) and plug-in hybrids 51.3% (13,710 transactions), meaning plug-in models now represent 4.2% of the total used market, up from 2.9% a year ago. For GANVAM, the used vehicle is consolidating itself as a key lever to electrify the car fleet by lowering the price barrier. The fair will offer more than 2,000 cars across all powertrains, including electric models such as the Kia EV3, Kia EV4 and BYD Dolphin, plug-in hybrids like the BYD Seal U DM-i and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, and hybrids such as the Toyota Yaris Cross and Lexus LBX.
