The FTP26 international congress showcases the latest advances in physiotherapy at the CCIB

The 4th International Physiotherapy Congress (FTP26), organised by the Physiotherapists' College of Catalonia, gathers more than 1,500 delegates from 9 to 11 July at the Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB), managed by Fira de Barcelona. Under the motto 'We will do it again!', the gathering deploys a multidisciplinary scientific programme across 10 simultaneous spaces, with lectures, round tables, practical workshops, oral presentations and scientific posters, plus areas designed to engage professionals, students and companies. Its thematic pillars span pain treatment and respiratory, neurological, sports, paediatric, geriatric, oncological and pelvic-floor physiotherapy, as well as mental health, research, teaching innovation and new technologies applied to clinical practice. A highlight is Australian researcher Lorimer Moseley, one of the world's most influential figures in the study of persistent pain. New this year, the opening day includes visits to leading care centres, and the edition debuts a start-up space and a student area presenting final degree and master's projects. FTP26 is the CCIB's last congress before the summer break: the venue, which expects to host more than 70 events this year, closes a busy first half featuring the 40th Goya Awards, CineEurope, the UIA World Congress of Architects and ATTD 2026, and is preparing an intense autumn with the Microsoft Fabric Community Conference, EACTS 2026, the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo and the ENA oncology symposium, among others.
