Galician Aerospace Consortium holds its annual general assembly, closed by David Regades and Covadonga Toca

The Galician Aerospace Consortium (CAG) held its Ordinary General Assembly on Tuesday 14 April at its Vigo headquarters, reviewing the past year's work and the state of the sector. The assembly renewed Héctor Estévez (Centum) as treasurer and Luis Pérez (Gradiant) as board member, and elected Adrián Senar (Kreios Space) as a new board member. CAG highlighted its role in the Business Factory Aero, defence certification workshops, the 7th aeronautical supply chain conference with TEDAE and the European Poctep Aeroganp project, as well as its presence at the Xponential fair in Germany and FIDAE in Chile, with Xponential Detroit and Unvex in Murcia coming up. It also announced its 8th International Aerospace Congress for 28-29 October in Santiago de Compostela. According to CAG president Enrique Mallón, Galicia's aerospace industry surpassed 1,700 direct jobs and 165 million euros in revenue in 2024, growing 7% in employment and 25% in turnover, though the sector worries about the Iran conflict's impact on aviation fuel. At the closing session, Covadonga Toca (Igape) noted that the Xunta's 2025-2030 strategic initiative aims to mobilise 900 million euros, while David Regades (Vigo Free Trade Zone) championed public-private collaboration.
