Optics and optometry sector to showcase its latest cutting-edge solutions at ExpoÓptica 2026

ExpoÓptica 2026, the optics, optometry and audiology show organised by IFEMA MADRID, will hold its 35th edition from Thursday 9 to Saturday 11 April in Hall 10. The event gathers leading companies in contactology and low vision — including Grupo Prats, Alcon Healthcare, Bausch & Lomb, Essilor Luxottica, Indo Rodenstock and Visionix — presenting advances such as teleophthalmology, optical coherence tomography, gene therapy, smart contact lenses, and the use of AI and augmented reality in professional training and surgery planning. The show also brings together software developers for optical shops and hearing centres — Temática Software, Diatec, Cosium and Optiplus among them — alongside suppliers of diagnostic, assembly and correction equipment. Running in parallel, the OPTOM Congress is organised by the Spanish General Council of Optician-Optometrist Colleges, while FEDAO stages its first congress on 9 April, where it will present the report 'What will the optics market look like in 2030?', prepared with Deloitte.
