Enerxetika 2026 Day 2: Biomass Forum, Geothermal Cases, Decarbonization and Energy Transition Round Tables
The second day of Enerxetika 2026 at Feira Internacional de Galicia ABANCA in Silleda featured an intensive programme of professional sessions. The 6th Galician Biomass Forum, themed Biomass as a Strategic Opportunity for Galicia, opened by Ruben Mosquera and Pablo Fernandez of the Xunta, covered heat networks across regions, emission reduction and voluntary carbon markets, and Galician forest resource management. Acluxega organized a geothermal session presenting six success cases including Bodega Vina Mein, Hotel Obradoiro, Bimba y Lola, Estrella Galicia and residential projects in Vigo. ANESE hosted a session on industrial decarbonization and competitiveness with Energy Saving Certificate cases from Inleit/Edison Next Spain, ACT, Margube, Acciona Energia and EQA. A3E ran a second CAE session focused on the fish canning sector. INEGA convened a round table on the energy transition with the Directors General of Energy of Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y Leon and Galicia. The SIE (Enerxetika Innovation Space) was officially launched with 13 projects selected in sustainability, efficiency and renewables. The 2nd Biomasa Galega Awards recognized Cooperativa Infesta, XERA, Fundacion San Rosendo, USC MERYCSE and Sergas, with an honorary award to former Cluster president Francisco Alvarez.
