Enerxetika 2026 to Host Biomass Forum and Awards Gala in Galicia

Enerxetika 2026, the energy sector fair running March 25-27 at Feira Internacional de Galicia ABANCA in Silleda, Pontevedra, will host two major events organized by the Cluster de la Biomasa de Galicia on the second day of the fair. The VI Foro de la Biomasa will open under the theme Biomass: a Strategic Opportunity for Galicia, inaugurated by cluster president Ruben Mosquera and a representative of the Instituto Energetico de Galicia. The forum will bring together a dozen experts across three thematic axes: biomass in heat networks and inter-regional transfer possibilities, biomass advantages in emissions reduction and voluntary carbon credit markets in Galicia, and sustainable management of Galicia forest resources. Speakers include representatives from AGADER, INEGA, Diputacion de Girona, AVEBIOM, Engie-DH, the Xunta de Galicia, Foresga, Finsa, and the University of Santiago de Compostela. The day concludes with the II Premios Biomasa Galega gala, recognizing excellence across five categories: sustainable biomass project, professional trajectory in the sector, business drive in biomass, awareness and education, and institutional commitment to biomass promotion.
