Equina Prepares to Hold Its Most Ambitious Edition July 10-12: Higher Level, More International

Equina Galicia will hold its twelfth edition from July 10 to 12 at the Feira Internacional de Galicia ABANCA venue (Silleda, Pontevedra), with an ambitious proposal that raises the level of its competitions and includes six contests with the best stud farms and riders, along with various activities. Organized by the Association of Spanish Horse Breeders of Galicia (ACCEGA) with the collaboration of the Semana Verde de Galicia Foundation, the event's main axis will be the 12th Spanish Pura Raza Española-ANCCE Championship of Galicia, which for the fifth consecutive year holds the three-star category — the highest in this type of competition — and will be a qualifier for the World Championship final to be held in Seville within SICAB from November 17 to 22. The organizers expect it to again rank among the three Spanish championships with the most participants in the three-star category. In classical dressage, the edition brings major novelties: for the first time it will host a national two-star competition of the Royal Spanish Equestrian Federation — a category requiring one international three-star judge — and will debut an ANCCE Classical Dressage Cup, also a SICAB qualifier and currently the only one in northern Spain, alongside the Concello de Silleda and Turismo Rías Baixas cups, the 27th Accega Cup and the 8th Xunta de Galicia Trophy. The program is completed by the 3rd Working Equitation Federation Trial, with confirmed participants from Extremadura, Andalusia and Castile and León, a round of the Galician Carriage Driving Championship, and introductory riding sessions for children.
