Equiplast 2026 Will Help Accelerate the Circularity of Plastics and Rubber

Equiplast 2026 has recognized SEAT & CUPRA as best-in-class for their circular strategy in the production of plastic components, aimed at reducing environmental impact through lower consumption of virgin raw materials, the incorporation of recycled or renewable materials and the development of new lower-impact solutions. The company promotes materials such as SEAQUAL® YARN, made from plastics recovered from the sea, and Dinamica® microfiber, manufactured with 73% recycled polyester through a water-based process, and embraces design-for-recycling with monomaterial concepts that make it easier to recover components at end of life. It also recently launched its Circular Economy Hub at its Barcelona Zona Franca facilities, a workshop adapted for vehicle disassembly and the recovery of parts, polymers and metals to give them a second life. The experience will be presented within Rethinking Plastic, one of the big novelties of Equiplast 2026 and the show's knowledge space, whose conference program will feature more than 30 sessions and over 100 speakers structured around circular economy, recycling technologies, advanced materials and digitalization. Equiplast runs June 2-5 at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue together with Expoquimia, with a combined offer of more than 800 exhibitors and 21,000 professionals expected.
