ExpoÓptica + Audio 2026 Maintains a Strong, Highly Specialized Turnout and Energizes the Market
ExpoÓptica + Audio 2026, the Optics, Optometry and Audiology Show organized by IFEMA MADRID, closed its 35th edition, held April 9-11 and opened by Health Minister Mónica García, with more than 8,000 professional visitors and 130 exhibitors. Direct exhibitors from the visual and hearing health sector grew by 10%, and foreign companies increased by 48% compared with 2024, reaching 29% of direct participations. It was the first edition held Thursday to Saturday, a change that spread out visits more evenly and raised the audience's specialization. Optical Fashion accounted for more than 46% of the exhibition, with over 200 frame brands, the new Glam Space for the mid-high and high-end market gathering more than 14 firms from Italy, France, the Netherlands and the UAE, and the Origen Exhibition showing eyewear dating from 1750 from the Martínez-Amat collection. Audiology had its own monographic area for the third consecutive edition, with more than 25 leading companies. The program included technical sessions, the OPTOM 2026 Congress and the first FEDAO Congress, which presented the Deloitte report "What will the optical market look like in 2030?", with seQura Eyewear as sponsor.
