Expoquimia and Equiplast closed at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona with what organisers called a very positive result, consolidating their position as the meeting point for the industrial community. Held simultaneously, the two Fira de Barcelona shows drew 20,803 visitors in total, 10% more than the 2023 edition. Their combined commercial offer grew 35%, with close to 800 exhibitors and more than 1,600 brands represented across halls 2 and 3. The two shows staged more than 200 conferences, round tables, presentations and guest events, attended by over 6,000 people. The Expoquimia Gala Dinner on 3 June drew more than 700 executives from leading chemical industry companies and client sectors, with Spanish industry minister Jordi Hereu and Catalan business and labour minister Miquel Sàmper attending. The next joint edition will be held in May 2029.
