Expovacaciones 2026 Turns BEC into the Destination for Tourism and Experiences

From May 8 to 10, Bilbao Exhibition Centre hosts the 46th edition of Expovacaciones, built around the "Experimenta" and "Saborea" themes, with 204 exhibiting firms including agencies, specialized companies and entities. The fair gathers national destinations such as Andalusia, Aragon, Cantabria, Ceuta, Ibiza, La Palma, Menorca and Valencia, plus Basque and Biscayan territories; the Euskadi Basque Country stand proposes the "infinite paths" route inspired by the Grand Tour, and the Biscay Provincial Council presents an interactive exhibition on accessible tourism. The international offering focuses on Portugal — Lisbon, Algarve, Porto, Central Portugal and newcomer Alentejo — reinforced by partner agencies Viajes El Corte Inglés and Viajes IKEA. Experimenta features a climbing wall, a surf simulator and active-tourism proposals, while Saborea brings the Txotx Experience with cider-house atmosphere, talo workshops and Euskal Sagardoa tastings. On Friday the 8th, Basquetour hosts the professional conference on smart tourism governance with speakers from Copenhagen, Dubrovnik, Ghent and Sligo, and the fair adds the Etikoa Certificate for responsible tourism. The official opening will be led by provincial deputy Sonia Pérez Ezquerra. The weekend is completed by Caravaning Euskadi, the Used Vehicle Fair and two La Oreja de Van Gogh concerts.
