Feria de Zaragoza Hosts ENOFORUM's Return to Spain

Enoforum celebrates its 23rd edition, the fourth held at Feria de Zaragoza. Considered a benchmark gathering for researchers, oenologists, agronomists and companies in the wine sector, the event has traveled through Spain, Italy, Portugal, Chile and the United States; after Verona in 2025, it returns to Spain on May 20-21 with speakers from several countries and, as a novelty, a space devoted entirely to the vineyard. Aragon boasts seven designations of origin — Cariñena, Campo de Borja, Calatayud, Somontano, Solar de Urbezo, D.O. Cava and Vino de Pago Aylés — and six protected geographical indications, reflecting the weight of Aragonese wine in quality, tradition and innovation. The program addresses adaptation to climate change (plant material, clones, rootstocks, soil pH management), strategies to reduce sugar content while maintaining grape quality in warm climates, soil management and degradation from a sustainability perspective, nitrogen fertilization and yeast-assimilable nitrogen, water management and new irrigation strategies including reclaimed water, vineyard health from fungal diseases to integrated and organic production, and trunk diseases, one of the main global threats to vineyards. Speakers come from universities, research centers and companies in Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Portugal, with technical tastings of wines made using new practices, an exhibition area, scientific poster sessions and networking spaces. Enoforum is held in collaboration with ENOMAQ, Gienol, Oenoviti International and Spain's leading oenologist associations.
