FIMA 2026 Day 4: Talent, CAP 2028-2034, and Sector Challenges

Day 4 of FIMA 2026 (February 13) at Feria de Zaragoza featured a packed program on talent, the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), and key sector challenges. The Aragón Government hosted a session on CAP 2028-2034 analysis and prospects, with agriculture directors from the Basque Country, La Rioja, Asturias, Castile and León, and Valencia. The Talent Day program in Pavilion 7 included a youth farmer financing session by Caja Rural de Aragón and the FIMA Conecta Talento roundtable on professional opportunities and talent attraction. At FIMA Tech in Pavilion 9, sessions covered precision agriculture (ANAP), digitalization technologies from the industry perspective, and the latest John Deere solutions for agricultural efficiency. Ibercaja Banco organized a session on smart investment in high-performance irrigation; Agrocultivate presented on soil health; ANAGAN Correduría moderated a rural innovation dialogue; and ASAJA Aragón closed the day with analysis of current challenges in extensive beef cattle farming. Regional agriculture directors held a working lunch.
