FIMMA + Maderalia 2026: Strongest Wood and Furniture Biennial in a Decade at Feria Valencia

FIMMA + Maderalia 2026, the international biennial for the wood, furniture, interior design, and contract sectors, will take place November 10-13 at Feria Valencia. Committee president Alejandro Bermejo describes this as the strongest edition in the last decade, with record exhibitor registrations and a widespread trend toward larger stands. He attributes this to structural advantages of the Mediterranean axis — competitive renewable energy, industrial land availability, and skilled labor — drawing activity away from stagnating northern European fairs. Priority international markets include Latin America, Morocco, Portugal, and Italy, with the organizers tripling the budget for attracting foreign buyers. The ASEMAD carpentry ecosystem area has grown to occupy nearly half a pavilion, turning product display into a cross-business networking environment. FIMMA + Maderalia will also feature technical seminars and presentations targeting architecture schools, engineering faculties, and interior design colleges to attract the next generation of professionals. Bermejo is also president of FEVAMA and ASEMAD and serves as vice-president of the Feria Valencia board.
