Gastronomic Forum Barcelona Will Address Culinary Tradition as a Creative Engine
Gastronomic Forum Barcelona will be held from November 2 to 4, 2026, for the first time at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue, with a program that proposes revisiting the culinary legacy as a reference for contemporary cuisine. The central narrative, 'Revisiting Tradition', will unfold in territorial blocks where chefs from Catalonia, Andalusia, Galicia, Madrid, Italy and Malta will share their vision of the gastronomic legacy from their own local perspectives. Leading figures such as Oriol Castro, Mateu Casañas and Eduard Xatruch (Disfrutar***), Quique Dacosta*** and Paco Pérez (Miramar** and Enoteca**) will participate in sessions combining reflection and tasting. The show will also offer specific sessions on front-of-house service, featuring renowned maîtres such as Joan Carles Ibáñez (Lasarte***), Marianna Suárez d'Alessandro (Celler de Can Roca***), Pere Monje (Via Véneto) and Abel Valverde (Desde 1911*), and will debut the recreation of a gastronomic counter where chefs including Albert Raurich (Dos Palillos*) will cook and serve the public live. The Forum Lab area will include Talento Z, spotlighting Generation Z professionals leading the sector's generational handover, along with charcuterie sessions developed with the Catalan butchers' guild. The program will be completed with awards such as the Cuiner 2026 Prize, the Innoforum Awards, the Josep Mercader Awards, The Baker prize for best bread and Spain's Best Panettone. The show expects to gather more than 450 exhibitors, 12% more than the last edition, which drew 21,800 professional visitors and over 180 experts.
