Strong Attendance and a Technical Profile Drive the Success of SMOPYC's Second Day

SMOPYC 2026, Europe's leading trade show for construction, public works and mining machinery, held its second day at Feria de Zaragoza with sector meetings, professional gatherings and technical sessions, recording high attendance by visitors with a distinctly technical profile. The day opened with the session "Advances in Applied Geotechnical Machinery", organized by AETESS, covering electric equipment, adaptation to complex environments and improvements in reliability and sustainability in foundations. It was followed by the consortium meeting of the European H2MAC project, run by ANMOPYC and the Technological Institute of Aragon, which is developing a hydrogen fuel-cell excavator and crusher for environments with limited electricity access, such as mines and construction sites. The day also included assemblies and board meetings of GREMIOS, ANAPAT, ANEFHOP and RCDA, the "MasterCO2re" session by Master Builders Solutions, the "ANMOPYC Passport" initiative and the 2nd Future Professionals of Machinery and Lifting Competition, organized by AFUPRO with SMOPYC and ELEVA. On Friday April 17 the program continues with the New Talent Day for secondary-school students, the CTN-UNE 115 standardization committee plenary, the FENAEX General Assembly and new Innovation SMOPYC Talks on machinery and worksite safety.
