GUEXT 2026 to Host the Final of the 1st National Best School Menu Competition

GUEXT, the International Hospitality Suppliers and Services Show organized by IFEMA MADRID together with FELAC, held October 15-17, will host the final of the 1st National Best School Menu Competition, promoted by FELAC. The contest, aimed at cooks and head chefs of school catering companies, will award the Prize for the Best School Menu in Spain, evaluating culinary excellence, sustainability and innovation in the use of plant-based proteins. The final will take place October 16 in the KitchenXperience by Dimasa space, where the selected menus will be prepared live before a multidisciplinary jury; in addition, child tasters will sample and rate the dishes, bringing the children's perspective. According to the Educo report cited by the organizers, more than 2.5 million children and adolescents eat daily in school canteens across Spain. Registration remains open until September 15, 2026.
