GUEXT 2026 Drives Knowledge, Innovation and Talent in Hospitality Through Its Activities Program

GUEXT, the International Trade Show for Hospitality Suppliers and Services organized by IFEMA MADRID together with FELAC, has previewed the activities agenda of its October 15-17 edition, designed to address the sector's main challenges and opportunities. GUEXT Forum will be the program's central axis, with round tables and lectures on the digitalization of professional kitchens, the impact of artificial intelligence, operational sustainability, the evolution of restaurant business models and new out-of-home food consumption habits — highlighting the strategic role of equipment as a lever for operational efficiency, connectivity and better customer experience. The program will include specific sessions on the connected kitchen, dining room design for a coherent gastronomic experience, kitchen design oriented toward staff wellbeing and talent attraction, the rise of foodvenience, smart collective catering — focused on how technology, traceability and automation are transforming institutional food services — and cooking with humanitarian conscience. The 'Sobremesas Mab', organized by Mab Hostelero magazine, will complete the program with debates on staff shortages and the design of more efficient kitchens. The show will hold the second Lifetime Award for Excellence in Hospitality Distribution and the first FELAC Award for Professional Career in the Spanish hospitality equipment industry. The KitchenXperience by Dimasa space will offer live demonstrations and host the final of the 1st National Best School Menu Competition — a relevant field considering that more than 2.5 million children and adolescents in Spain use school canteens daily.
