'Hotel Habitat 2026': Joaquin Homs Imagines a More Sensorial, Sustainable and Universal Way of Living

Mexican architect Joaquin Homs will lead the flagship experiential project of Feria Habitat Valencia 2026, an immersive installation conceived as a "universal hotel" where nature, emotion, architecture and contemporary design converge. Following the editions by Hector Ruiz in 2024 and Tomas Alia in 2025, Hotel Habitat now evolves toward a global perspective on new ways of living. Covering close to 550 square meters, the project will be located in Hall 6 of Feria Valencia, next to the new 360 by Cevisama area and Salon nude 2026, and will be structured as a circular route with rooms designed by prestigious studios and furnished by leading 'made in Spain' habitat brands. The proposal will unfold within a large white atmosphere featuring natural materials, a central pond and garden, a cobalt-blue vertical element, and a large wall built from natural straw blocks as a statement on sustainability and ancestral materials. Homs, with more than 42 years of international experience and over 1,500 projects, counts among his most notable works the conceptual interior design of the first permanent Cirque du Soleil theater outside Canada, in the Riviera Maya.
