The PATA PATA Fair Opened Its Doors Today at EXPOCoruña
PATA PATA 2026, the Companion Animals and Pet-Friendly Tourism Fair, kicked off this morning at EXPOCoruña, where it gathers more than 80 exhibitors and a broad program of activities for all audiences. The fair opened Saturday at 10:00, and the inaugural ceremony was attended by the vice-president of the A Coruña Provincial Council, Xosé Regueira; the Xunta de Galicia's director general for Self-Employment and Social Economy, Marta Mariño Regueiro; Carmen Fuentes, Marketing & Customer manager at Tiendanimal; Andrés Fernández, director of EXPOCoruña; and co-organizer Xosé Aldea. Exhibitors span food, health, education, services and pet-friendly tourism, and the venue is structured into the Central Ring, the Ágora, the Children's Zone and the Gastro Zone, with offerings such as Sammy Pet Café, Miscomidas, Bico de Xeado and Mariachi Foodtruck. A Calm Space sponsored by Abeiro Veterinary Hospital and an Adoption Space sponsored by Tiendanimal have been set up, with shelters such as Animaneko, APA Michigüau and O Legado de Max, where Tiendanimal will donate food to the participating entities. The program includes agility demonstrations, displays by the Guardia Civil's canine unit, CASAGA rescue dogs, the Can Talent contest and animal-assisted interventions by Montegatto.
