Iberflora Launches a Landscaping Competition to Dress the Interior of the North Forum
Iberflora, the International Plant and Flower, Landscaping, Technology and Garden DIY Fair, takes another step in its commitment to landscaping as a strategic discipline with the call for the 1st Edition of the Landscaper Awards, an initiative organized by Feria Valencia that is born with the vocation of becoming a national benchmark in the design of landscaped exhibition spaces. The competition aims to select the best proposal for the design and setting of the North Forum space, one of the most representative areas of the venue during Iberflora, encouraging creativity applied to ephemeral design, promoting sustainable solutions and highlighting the use of plant species adapted to the Mediterranean climate. The winner will receive a prize of 3,000 euros (VAT excluded), a trophy and a diploma, and will be in charge of executing the selected project through a contract with a maximum budget of 15,000 euros (VAT excluded), covering technical development, production, assembly, maintenance during the fair and subsequent dismantling — altogether a professional opportunity valued at 18,000 euros. The deadline for submitting entries is July 29. The call is open to undergraduate and master's students in Landscaping, architects, interior and exterior designers, ornamental gardening companies, landscapers and multidisciplinary teams. The jury will particularly value innovation, the ability to create a singular image of the space, sustainability criteria, visual and sensory impact and technical feasibility. The five finalist projects will be exhibited during Iberflora before thousands of sector professionals.
