Iberzoo Propet 2026 opens in Madrid with record participation from 18 countries

Iberzoo Propet 2026, the leading professional pet industry trade show in southern Europe, has opened at IFEMA MADRID from March 11-13. The 2026 edition marks a new participation record with 302 exhibiting companies, an 11% increase over 2025, representing 1,200 brands. International participation has grown to 76 firms from 18 countries, up 16% year-on-year. Net exhibition space reaches 9,975 square metres, up 3.5%. According to AMVAC, Spain pet industry revenue reached 36,681 million euros in 2025, representing 2.3% of GDP and supporting 44,500 direct jobs. An estimated 30 million pets live in Spain, and 52% of Spanish households own a pet. The parallel programme includes the VetMadrid Congress, VIII AEDPAC Forum, canine grooming exhibitions, and the Iberpet Awards ceremony on March 12.
