IFEMA MADRID to Launch EXPOINMED, International Medical Innovation and Health Technology Fair, in 2027

IFEMA MADRID has announced the launch of EXPOINMED, a new international fair dedicated to medical innovation and health technology, whose first edition will take place from June 15 to 17, 2027 at the Madrid fairgrounds, in collaboration with the specialized media outlet Medicina Responsable. The fair arrives amid strong growth in the MedTech and healthcare industry: according to the most recent data, total health spending in Spain stands at around 9.5% of GDP, reaching 138 billion euros, and in 2025 the country consolidated its position as the most active in clinical research in the European Union. EXPOINMED will combine an exhibition area, strategic content and networking, bringing together medical equipment and devices, surgical robotics, imaging and diagnostics, digital health solutions and MedTech startups, and will host the first EXPOINMED International Congress. The project draws on IFEMA MADRID's capacity as one of Europe's leading fair operators, with more than 70 fairs and congresses in 2026 and a 36% share of Spain's international events, and with an international outlook focused on Latin America it aims to strengthen Madrid's role as a health innovation hub.
